About Therapy

When you call…

If I can’t pick up immediately, I’ll get back to you right away. I feel strongly about connecting with you as soon as possible, not to prolong the pain by making you wait for a call back.

When I call…

Our first call will be an initial consultation. I’ll ask you a few questions to determine how I can best help you and make sure we’re a good fit.

And you’ll have the opportunity to ask me questions, too – about therapy, the process, and how I work. We can then schedule a first session if you feel comfortable and ready to take that step.

When we meet…

At our first session, we’ll begin to get to know each other. I’ll continue to learn more about you.

We’ll go at a speed you feel comfortable with, and I’ll ask you questions about your concerns – where you are in life, and what your goals are for therapy.

As we get to know each other, we’ll develop a plan for the work we’ll be doing together.

You’re in control.

It’s all about what you need most.

Many people say that simply having someone listen to them eases their burden. Others like to learn concrete ways to feel better.

Together, we’ll integrate both aspects, so you get the most out of your healing process.

So, take charge.

You’ve already taken that first bold step – you’re here. Now, there’s just one more thing to do.

Reach out to me (954) 591-8441. I’m excited about what we can accomplish together.

Don’t let anything stand in your way of getting the help you need – of feeling better – of living the life of your dreams.

About Me

I grew up in South Florida and recently moved back home to Florida from New York to be closer to my family and away from the cold!

My Bachelor’s in psychology is from Emory University. To obtain my Master’s in social work, I moved to New York City and attended Columbia University.

Since that time, I’ve been living and working in New York. My experience is in home-based family therapy with families who have been having difficulty with their children. I’ve also provided therapy in middle schools, as well as in outpatient clinics to children of all ages and their families.

My passion is helping individuals overcome childhood trauma and stressful life experiences. I’m currently also working in Parkland with survivors of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas shooting in 2018.

When I’m not at work, you can find me reading a good book, binging a show on Netflix with my husband, taking a hot yoga class, or spending time at the beach.
